Education History:  2 year associate degree in Culinary Arts from Madison Area Tech College.  2 year associate degree in Veterinary Technology from Argosy University.

Work History:  I was in food service for 10 years cooking, baking and catering, and I have been at Rivertown Animal H ospital for 2 years.  I worked at the Humane Society for Companion Animals for a few years prior to schooling.  I chose this field because I love animals and how they enrich our lives with unconditional love.  They depend on us take care of them and I'm happy to be a part of their overall well being.

My favorite animals are cats, but I prefer to work with dogs; they are much easier usually!  :)  All my pets have come from humane societies and they've been great!

Growing up I had a cat "Whisker's," a dog "Tippy," a guinea pig, "Brownie," hermit crabs, a hamster and a parakeet.  I currently have 3 cats; "Tabitha," a 14 year old maine coon mix, "Xena," a 5 year old birman, and "Zorro," a 1 year old tiger striped domestic short hair.  I also have a German Shepherd/Akita/Husky/Malamute mix named "Santana.  She is a very sweet five year old gentle giant that I call "Beastie Boy" sometimes.

I had two cats that passed away in 2006; a 14 year old orange domestic short hair named "Houdini" that died of heart problems and a 3 year old siamese named "Lilly," who passed away when her one functional kidney became infected.

I have been married to my husband Tom for 1 1/2 years and have a nine month old son named Jasper.
